Windows XP Native PPPoE Configuration

Windows XP has PPPoE capabilities that eliminate the need for the EnterNet 300 PPPoE software.

Windows XP PPPoE configuration is as follows:

1) Click the Windows Start button, click "Control Panel", then click "Network and Internet Connections". From the "Network and Internet Connections" window choose "Network Connections" in the lower right.

2) From the "Network Connection" window select "Create a new connection" (on the left under "Network Tasks") . If you are unable to see "Create a new connection" click on the two little arrows to the right of the heading "Network Tasks".

3) The "New Connection Wizard" will launch. From the first screen select "Next".

4) Choose "Connect to Internet" and click "Next" to continue.

5) Select "Set up my connection manually" (option 2) and click "Next" to continue.

6) Select "Connect Using Broadband Connection that requires a username and password" and click "Next" to continue.

7) Connection name: Type a name for the account (IE: GMA)

8) Internet Account Information:
User name: type your user name, all lower case with no spaces.
Password:
type your password, all lower case with no spaces.
Confim password: re-type your password.

The check boxes at the bottom of this screen can be set according to your personal preferences. If you are unsure which boxes to select we recommend selecting them all.

Click "Next" to continue.

9) Completeing the new connection wizard: click Finish and you are done.
