Macintosh OS X+ PPPoE Configuration

OS X has its own PPPoE capabilities that eliminate the need for EnterNet 300 PPPoE software.

Configuring PPPoE in OS X & 10.1 (see Screen Shot)
Click on the Apple in the upper left and then select "System Preferences" from the pulldown menu. From the System Preferences Windows double click the "Network" icon.

From the Network window configure the following (see Screen Shot):
Configure or Show: click on drop down menu and select your ethernet device
Click on the "PPPoE" tab
Check "Connect using PPPoE"
Service Provider (optional): GMA
PPPoE Service Name (optional): leave blank
Account Name: GMA account name
Password: GMA password
Check Save Password

Click on the "PPPoE Options..." button for the following options (see Screen Shot):

Connect automatically when starting TCP/IP applications: check this to automatically connect to the Internet when launching Internet applications.

Prompt to stay connected if idle for _ minutes: This is a personal preference, 15 minutes is the default. To stay connected all the time un-check this box.

Disconnect if idle for _ minutes: This is a personal preference, 15 minutes is the default. To stay connected all the time un-check this box.

Disconnect when user logs out: Check this to terminate you Internet session when the current user logs out.

Click the "OK" button to return the the previous screen.

Click the "Save" or "Apply Now" button to finish this set up.
